A Systems Engineer is able to work directly with clients to…

Configure, monitor and maintain server systems and network environments. The ideal candidate is familiar with installing and maintaining Windows server environments, Microsoft operating systems and related software technologies. Must be willing to take ownership of an issue and be committed to resolution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Configure and install client desktops, mobile devices, servers, switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Test software applications and systems.
  • Work with external vendors/consultants to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Manage system initiatives and new projects.
  • Support process and SOP improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 including installation, services and support.
  • Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory & Domain architecture, NTFS permissions, DNS, OS Security and system patching.
  • Experience as a Windows server administrator and installer.
  • Experience implementing and managing server environments with server-class hardware and peripherals.
  • Practical understanding of networking – routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, and VLANs.
  • Knowledge of wiring and cabling.
  • Providing support for networked clients and the associated technologies (e.g., Citrix, Cisco, etc.) is required.
  • Understanding/experience with backup software and recovery strategies.
  • Understanding/experience with NAS/SAN technologies.
  • Create reports that are thorough, detailed and able to be comprehended by a non-technical audience.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required – relocate/move desktop, servers and network equipment.


  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Technical certification in Windows Server or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft certifications desired.
